Minerva Theatre underwent a refresh during the winter months to create a sparkling new look for both their Brasserie and the upstairs facilities. Changes were also made to the backstage areas of the building, giving more space and improved facilities for both cast and creative teams, and the opportunity to house larger companies for productions in the Minerva Theatre. The more noticable design changes were made to the front of house areas, with The Brasserie, Minerva Bar & Grill and the foyer all having been transformed into light, modern spaces with a new layout, colour changing LED lighting and associated control systems. The building is more energy efficient, improving their environmental footprint.

Arlico worked with HPW architects and Brymor Construction to create stunning made-to-measure concentric hexagonal coffers, which were lit using Aura high brightness RGB+W linear LED tape light. With our in-house architect, Arlico’s lighting design was proven by creating 1:1 linear sectional models of the coffers and floating column details, ensuring an absolutely perfect lit effect was created. Plaster-in, high brightness LED downlights created the necessary ambient light and an Arlico lighting control system ensured the pre-programmed lighting scenes were simple for the end user to recall.
