Secondary School Lighting Bournemouth

Working in close conjunction with electrical installation experts J&B Hopkins, Arlico designed and manufactured the lighting and controls system for a new school block at The Livingstone Academy, Bournemouth. This design & build project was developed from RIBA Stage 3 to completion. The Academy specialises in IT and that has been reflected in the design with data and modern control solutions at its core.

Using their B-Line 5.8 suspended collection, Arlico designed continuous lighting systems for the classrooms, with integrated lighting controls and through wiring, which simplified and hastened the speed installation. Suspended HoopLa 10.8 in an impressive 3m diameter created visual impact in the dining hall. All fittings were controlled by the Arlico SmartBridge Lighting Control System with localised LCMs were used to provide all room wiring, lighting control including daylight harvesting and scene setting for principal areas.
